UGC Note
The University Grants Commission (UGC), under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, has introduced the Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc.) program as part of its skill development-based higher education scheme. This program provides multiple exit options such as Diploma and Advanced Diploma under the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF). The UGC has officially recognized the B.Voc. degree at par with other bachelor’s degrees for competitive examinations conducted by UPSC, State PSCs, SSC, and similar bodies. Furthermore, students holding a B.Voc. degree are eligible for admission into higher education programs where the minimum qualification is a bachelor’s degree, ensuring vertical mobility and wide career opportunities.
The Assam Institute of Medical Sciences & Technology (AIMST), Nalbari, Assam has entered into a tie-up with Pragati Nursing Home, Hajo Road, Nalbari to provide practical training opportunities for its students.
As per this agreement, students pursuing B.Voc. paramedical courses at AIMST are authorized to undergo their clinical exposure and training at Pragati Nursing Home.
Under this tie-up:
AIMST students can attend training programs at Pragati Nursing Home throughout the duration of their course.
Students are required to follow the rules and regulations of Pragati Nursing Home during their training period.
The nursing home has extended this opportunity with the expectation that AIMST students will maintain discipline, professionalism, and dedication while representing their institution.
This collaboration ensures that students receive hands-on practical experience in a reputed healthcare environment, bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world medical practice.
